Week beginning 26th June we will be celebrating our school Mission week.Β

As you may know this year All schools in our trust are invited to participate in a special Nicholas Postgate mass which will take place across the parishes on Sunday 2nd of July. ( for more information on this please contact your local parish priests)Β

The week preceding this pupils in St Marys will explore the life of our trust Patron Blessed Nicholas Postgate.Β

They will learn about how he was known as the β€˜Martyr of the Moors’ and the β€˜Samaritan of the Moors’. They will learn about how Blessed Nicholas Postgate brought mass to Catholics at a time when saying Catholic mass was banned, and that he Baptised people in the community, without discrimination.Β

Our theme for mission week is β€˜Who is My Neighbour? Through this theme pupils will explore our trust family, and make links to the parable of β€˜The Good Samaritan’, exploring Catholic social teachings through our solidarity with the Missio children’s charity.Β

On Thursday 29th June all pupils will be invited to come to school in their own clothes for our Missio- β€˜Day of Many Colours’.pupils will be learning about our global family and praying in solidarity with all children across the world.Β

Throughout the week we will be sharing on our school social media the work pupils have been doing, be sure to ask your children about their learning.
