Meet our Digital Leaders
Our digital leaders are a group of pupils who act as ambassadors for technology and online safety across the St Mary’s community. Their primary role is to support both their peers and teachers by troubleshooting minor technical issues, showcasing new apps and helping to maintain equipment. Beyond just technical support, they play a crucial part in promoting digital citizenship; they often lead assemblies or workshops to teach others about staying safe online and the importance of a positive “digital footprint.”
By taking on these responsibilities, digital leaders help foster a culture of innovation and responsibility, ensuring that technology is used effectively and creatively in every classroom
Each year, our Digital Leaders lead a whole-school assembly for Safer Internet Day, turning complex digital concepts into a shared, memorable experience. This event serves as a vital moment for the entire school to pause and reflect on their digital lives.
The focus of their assembly is to move beyond simple “don’t” lists and instead focus on empowerment. Our Digital Leaders equip the school community with the tools to use the internet as a force for good.
