In addition to providing children with the essential knowledge that they need to help them prepare for future success, our 33 experiences of St Mary’s ensures all children experience what we believe every child should experience, before their 12th birthday. Every child has their time to Thrive- always.
Every pupil at St Mary’s will experience:
- Visiting local landmarks
- Performing in front of an audience
- Visiting a city
- Writing a song
- Joining a school club
- Visiting the theatre
- Leading a liturgy
- Visiting a cathedral
- Learning a new language
- Visiting the seaside
- Eating a lemon-top ice-cream
- Visiting a farm
- Toasting marshmallows on a fire
- Visiting a professional sporting event
- Taking a train ride
- Taking a boat ride
- Climbing a hill
- Abseiling and orienteering
- Feeling sand between your toes
- Sleeping at least one night away with your class
- Reading a book to a younger child
- Have a speaking part in a play
- Competing and collaborating in inter-house activities
- Holding a position of responsibility within school
- Taking part in a celebration for another faith/culture
- Having a piece of artwork for all to see
- Having your voice listened to and influence decision making
- Eating a meal in a restaurant
- Cooking a meal for someone in your family

Carlton Lodge residentialΒ
As part of the 33 experiences of St Mary’s, our wonderful Year 5 and 6 students attended Carlton Lodge for an overnight stay.
Year 6 Sleepover
The pandemic didn’t stop us from celebrating a wonderful year with our Year 6 students. Our class of 2020/2021 had a sleepover at school with their friends.
